    How to Keep Your Home Bug Free
    The first thing to remember is that no home is going to be completely free of bugs. They are always going to be a few spiders around no matter what. The important thing is to keep you home from being an insect motel.

    If your home is old it is going to have a lot of small holes and places where bugs can get in. Patch these up as best you can. Also, look for cracks under and around doors, as these can be pretty big an allow a whole array of insects inside. Try caulking or a long door stop.

    Never leave dirty dishes lying around, even in the sink. Rinse all plates off thoroughly and don't leave bits of food in the sink. Wash the dishes as soon as possible after using them, and don't leave them sitting in the sink for too long

    Don't leave food sitting around, like open bags of potato chips, old TV dinner trays. These are nice munchies for the bugs.

    You may hear it a lot, but it's true: bugs love mess, so keep your home as clean as possible.

    Vaccum around the dinner table and anyplace else you eat. There are always crumbs left over which can attract hungry insects.

    Keep sweet things like fruit in containers or in the fridge.
